Women Totally Fashionable

This project is a visual exploration of femininity through a contemporary and a surreal lens, blending fashion photography, collage, and body distortion to challenge traditional representations of the female body. Shot in a studio, women are captured in unusual, exaggerated poses that stand against conventional portrayals of elegance and control.

Through a feminist perspective, I aim to questions societal expectations of women’s bodies and self-presentation. Through distortion and fragmentation, it overthrows conventional beauty standards, emphasizing the tension between control and freedom, form and deconstruction. The collage elements symbolize both identity and objectification, highlighting the complexities of female expression in contemporary visual culture.
